چکیده

The study investigated the effects of dietary Eucommia ulmoides extracts on growth, flesh quality and collagen-related genes expression grass carp (Ctenopharyngodon idella). bark extract (EBE) leaf (ELE) were individually supplemented into basal diet (control) at an inclusion 4 g/kg, then three diets fed to (59.7 ± 0.3 g) for 60 days. results indicated that ELE significantly increased weight gain (+4.22 %), decreased feed conversion ratio (-4.05 %) (P < 0.05), while EBE did not affect growth performance carp. Compared control, apparent digestibility coefficient dry matter, crude protein intestinal digestive enzyme activity contents calcium, total collagen, heat-insoluble collagen free amino acids level (including delicious acids) in also 0.05). In both groups, centrifugal loss, steaming drip loss24h, carbonyl malondialdehyde lower, superoxide dismutase glutathione peroxidase activities higher than control No significant differences amount saturated, monounsaturated polyunsaturated fatty found among but docosapentaenoic acid (DPA), docosahexaenic (DHA), n-3 n-3/n-6 by expression, supplementation promoted type I (COL1A1, COL1A2), proline hydroxylase, lysine oxidasein muscle, matrix metalloproteinase-2 metalloproteinase-9 was conclusion, improved muscle antioxidant capacity

Gene Expression Profiling of Grass Carp (Ctenopharyngodon idellus) and Crisp Grass Carp

Grass carp (Ctenopharyngodon idellus) is one of the most important freshwater fish that is native to China, and crisp grass carp is a kind of high value-added fishes which have higher muscle firmness. To investigate biological functions and possible signal transduction pathways that address muscle firmness increase of crisp grass carp, microarray analysis of 14,900 transcripts was performed. Co...

Sequence, genomic organization and expression of ghrelin receptor in grass carp, Ctenopharyngodon idellus.

The growth hormone secretagogue-receptor (GHS-R) is an endogenous receptor for the gut hormone ghrelin. Here we report the identification and characterization of GHS-R1a in grass carp, Ctenopharyngodon idellus. The full-length GHS-R1a cDNA contained a 1803-bp coding domain sequence which encoded a peptide of 360 amino acid residues. Comparison analysis revealed that the amino acid sequences of ...

Succession and Fermentation Products of Grass Carp (Ctenopharyngodon idellus) Hindgut Microbiota in Response to an Extreme Dietary Shift

Dietary intake affects the structure and function of microbes in host intestine. However, the succession of gut microbiota in response to changes in macronutrient levels during a long period of time remains insufficiently studied. Here, we determined the succession and metabolic products of intestinal microbiota in grass carp (Ctenopharyngodon idellus) undergoing an abrupt and extreme diet chan...

ENU-Induced Mutagenesis in Grass Carp (Ctenopharyngodon idellus) by Treating Mature Sperm

N-ethyl-N-nitrosourea (ENU) mutagenesis is a useful approach for genetic improvement of plants, as well as for inducing functional mutants in animal models including mice and zebrafish. In the present study, mature sperm of grass carp (Ctenopharyngodon idellus) were treated with a range of ENU concentrations for 45 min, and then wild-type eggs were fertilized. The results indicated that the pro...
